Our final Instagram takeover for Sydney will take us all the way to Opening Week in Melbourne! It takes all the departments, a lot of organising and scheduling. You can see our SM Will with clipboard in hand making sure everything gets captured and that the day was kept to time! You can see our SM Will with clipboard in hand making sure everything gets captured and that the day was kept to time! Here’s a look into the DSM’s Prompt Copy! ➡️ The first image is Queen Of Pop, in which most of the lighting cues are controlled by Timecode (highlighted in green), in order to sync lighting and video, however if it was to fail for whatever reason we as the SM would call those cues (which is why they are still on the page - highlighted green to remind us not to call it during a normal show call). This is one of the trickiest pages to call if the time code was to fail. The second is the top of Act Two - with fly, lighting and sound cues to call! Every Fly, Automation, TSA and Sound cue that is called by the SM also has a cue light button to be pressed at the same time. Which makes this sequence tricky as the cue lights are not always next to each other We have a long day ahead with two dry tech sessions - where we run the show without the cast, making sure all the elements come together. And then tonight our first tech session with the entire company! A quick notes session with our Associate Director and Choreographer before another dress rehearsal! Only three more days until our first audience! 🙌🏼🍫 Hi Instagram, we are the @factorymanagement team! We are super excited to be taking over for the next few weeks, and we thought it was time to introduce ourselves. -From left to right:Will - Stage ManagerAshleigh - Deputy Stage ManagerMargaret - Assistant Stage ManagerJoshua - Assistant Stage Manager-As always if there is anything you’d love to know or see please send us a DM or leave it in the comments We get to do some pretty fun things, like shooting a Television commercial. It takes all the departments, a lot of organising and scheduling. You can see our SM Will with clipboard in hand making sure everything gets captured and that the day was kept to time! It’s our final day at @capitoltheatresydney, which means today we say goodbye to our local crew members and the wonderful Capitol team! 🍫🍭 From dressers to mechs and everything in between it takes over 45 local crew and musicians to make Charlie and The Chocolate Factory run!. While we are working away in the rehearsal room, our bump in team are hard at work @hmt_melb getting the show ready! We’re back at it again today for our second tech session! 🙌🏼 Here’s a quick look at the monitor views, you’ll notice that the lower bottom corner focused on our lovey Associate MD David Piper who is playing keys from the house during tech. During tech we will always have keys from the house while the Orchestra are rehearsing in the foyer Tonight’s the night we offical open here in Melbourne at @hmt_melb ! We can’t wait for you all to visit the factory and see what wonders we have in store! 🍫🐿 We get to do some pretty fun things, like shooting a Television commercial. So to help the actors know where things sit on stage we use our spike tape to mark it out! Everything from the automation tracks, to flys and actor spikes Quick shot from the lighting console in the house! We are nearly finished teching the show! 🙌🏼 Alf Wiedersehen Instagram👋🏻 We really hope you’ve enjoyed our month long takeover.
